On Monday - Friday the mission team will work at selected campground sites to run a day camp from 10:00-12:00 noon. Day camp is much like a VBS that has children from 3-13 years old come to play games, make a craft, eat snacks, sing songs and hear about Jesus. Many of the teams’ love getting to interact with the children at the sites.

Hotel and shop worker ministry consists of a church group splitting up into smaller groups and walking to the hotels on Ocean Drive and the shops on the Boardwalk. (and sometimes at Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing). Each group will have goodie bags consisting of homemade cookies or brownies (not store bought), and small items such as chapstick, candy, Kleenex, gum, etc. As you go from hotel to hotel or shop to shop look for opportunities to talk and share the bags with the employees.

Prayer walking is just that. We will assign your group to a specific area to walk and pray.  We will give guidance of specific things to pray about and for.  We have had many stories of our volunteers being asked by a tourist or local to pray with them about something.

Groups are able to conduct a block party at one of our multi-housing sites in the evening. These consist of inflatables, games, a cook-out (usually hot dogs), and a short gospel message. These are usually very well attended by not only the children, but their parents as well. Groups are encouraged to bring their own block party trailer, however at times the local association block party trailer could be available for rent (to be paid by the church conducting the party).

Share stories from the Scripture through creative means with balloons.

This ministry takes place at Broadway at the Beach, the Boardwalk and a few times at Barefoot landing. This consists of painting faces and/or making balloon animals and objects while sharing the gospel with the children. This is also an opportunity for others to have a conversation with the parents while they are waiting for their children.

This ministry involves teams going on the beach and engaging people in conversations and/or activities in order to, hopefully, have a spiritual conversation. Activities can include sand castle contest, frisbee throwing and other games, handing out bottled water, volleyball, kite flying and many other activities.

With over 4000 international students coming to Myrtle Beach each summer to work in the tourist industry we always have a chance to reach to the ends of the earth. Our All Nations cafe feeds on average 300 students each week.

We try to conduct a day camp at least twice at each location during the summer. These are either low income or government subsidized housing. Our ministry partners with Helping Hands food pantry and we try to have 2 or 3 teams per year to help us collect food. This consists of going one day during your week with us to a designated neighborhood to put 300-600 bags with flyers attached on the front doors. Then in a day or two your group will go back and collect what food has been left by the mailboxes. Then your group will take these items to the food pantry.

We partner with 2 retirement/nursing homes to schedule groups to go minister to the residents. This can be singing, playing games, crafts, puppets, skits, visiting with the residents or any combination of these activities. It is always a blessing for the residents and the groups.

If your group is performance oriented we can set you up to sing, do puppets, or other types of performances on the boardwalk, Broadway at the Beach or a campground. You must bring your own sound system.
