How Impact Works With Emergency Management and Horry County during and after a disaster?

Disasters occur all across our county and around the world every day. We do not have them on our calendars, but we can plan effectively for how we are going to respond when we find ourselves in the middle of our own disaster. As these emergencies occur in Horry County or around the world, IMPACT will be involved in pre-planning, staging during the disaster, post disaster recovery, and long term rebuild.

IMPACT’s Director, Todd Wood, has worked very closely with Horry County Emergency Management staff beginning in 2003 and has developed a great relationship with each of the emergency management staff. This relationship has allowed us to plan, train, and role play many disaster scenarios to be fully prepared in the event of a local disaster. Through VOAD, Todd has also built a great relationship with many of the other key nonprofit organizations that will be participating in our disaster recovery such as; South Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief, Samaritans Purse, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Community Kitchen, Catholic Charities, Mennonite Disaster Servcies, God's Pit Crew, Lions Club and many more great organizations.
How Is IMPACT Funded?

We are a 501 C-3 organization and are funded by churches, groups, individuals, and families just like yours. If you would like to make a donation to IMPACT Ministries to assist us in Disaster Relief volunteer coordination, you may send your tax deductable donation to: IMPACT PO Box 8777 Myrtle Beach, SC 29578
